We’re pleased to share an important update regarding colour standardization for container repairs.
The Brand team has approved a RAL colour code to be used for repair work on recently in-fleeted batches of blue containers.
Aside of the CMYK (C70 M6 Y14 K0), corresponding to Hempel 30070, an equivalent RAL code RAL230 70 30 has now been identified to simplify sourcing for repair shops.
Although the RAL shade is not an exact match, it is very close and suitable for operational use. This update will help streamline repair processes and ensure visual consistency across our fleet.
Depots are therefore advised to begin sourcing paint using RAL 230 70 30 for relevant container repairs.
It is hereby emphasized that depots should adhere to the like-for-like policy as outlined in the Maersk DRY Repair Manual.
This policy ensures that the external colour of DRY containers matches the original brand specification during repairs.
For Maersk-branded blue containers, the approved exterior colour options are:
- CMYK: C70 M6 Y14 K0
- Hempel Code: 30070
- RAL Code: RAL 230 70 30 (Best fit on the RAL coding scale)
Please ensure the correct and adequate colour is applied during container repairs.This is critical in maintaining brand consistency and visual integrity across the fleet.
